Baptist Camping Victoria (BCV) is a not-for-profit charity and operates as part of the Baptist Church. It is a mission in spreading the word of Jesus through our belief system whether that is teaching or serving people. All supervisor and above positions require a strong Christian faith to support and teach the organisation beliefs. All other positions need to support the beliefs of the organisation and have no conflict with these beliefs. BCV goal is to love and care for all people under BCV understanding of the bible and its principals.

Kitchen Hand and Cleaner

We are expanding our causal team at Camp Wilkin in the idyllic coastal town of Anglesea, in the areas of cleaning and kitchenhand work.  Hours are flexible, with a range of shifts available over 7 days a week.

Applications are welcome for casual kitchenhand work, casual cleaning work, or a combination of both!

Cleaning

Qualifications & experience 

  • Housekeeping and/or commercial cleaning experience
  • Experience in a customer service oriented role

Tasks & responsibilities

  • General site cleaning including floors, windows, bathrooms and surfaces
  • Work as part of a team and autonomously as required

Kitchen

Qualifications & experience 

  • Experience in a kitchen environment
  • Experience in a customer focused role
  • Food Handling Certificate (available to complete online at no cost)

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Kitchenhand duties including cleaning, dishwashing and basic food preparation
  • Work as part of a team and autonomously as required

Property Coordinator

This position is based at Camp Wilkin and is a live onsite position. The applicant will look after the day to day running of the property which includes maintenance of buildings, cleaning, grounds, and looking after all tools and equipment. This person will be setting all cleaning rosters and oversee the setup of the facilities for the next group. They will be supported by the Centre Manager.

Wage $64k and package $100k include house and utilities etc.

Property Service Assistant

This person will work under our property coordinator and look after the upkeep of the grounds and property. The client service requirement will be setting up the camp for the next group that comes in supporting the cleaners’ programmers and kitchen staff.

This job is based in Anglesea and is 5 days with occasional weekend work when required.

Wages $50k – $60k

This program position is to be part of our program team at our Camp Wilkin running programs for all groups. This will include setup and running of the programmes, liaising with schools and groups. On changeover days and down time there will be cleaning and maintenance to be completed on the Centre. You will need experience and/or qualification in outdoor education. Office Manager

This position is set to run the office of Baptist Camping and support the operation of Camp Wilkin. This job will look after the day-to-day operation of the office, process the wages, and support oversee HR and marketing. The role is supported by a Booking officer and Accounts officer. You will need to work closely with the Manager of Camp Wilkin and the Business Manager.

Wages $60 – $78k

Program Coordinator

This position is to oversee the programming of Baptist Camping Victoria and will require you to program as well. The main programming is at Camp Wilkin but support for Burnside is required. You will also be linked to Mill Valley Ranch program area. We have a Traineeship program working with up to 7 trainees each year, the Duke of Edinburgh program, training in a Cert IV in outdoor ed. You will work under our Ministry Department and closely with Camp Wilkin Manager.

Office administration support

This position is fulltime or can be negotiated to parttime that suit both the Ranch and the person. In this position you are the first face people see so strong customer service is required. The role is to oversee the reception, as well as supporting bookings, ministry camps, kitchen, programming with the day-to-day operation of the Ranch. Strong people, computer skills are needed. Working closely with the Centre Manager and the BCV office.

Wages $57 – $61K or $28-93 per hour

Kitchenhand

This position is a casual for a kitchenhand to work during the day at Mill Valley Ranch at Tynong North. There will some weekend work on a Roster which is negotiable. The job is preparing food for meals, doing dishes, liaising with campers, helping setup the dining room and organising the camper dishes, and cleaning up the dining room and kitchen after each meal. You will work under the Kitchen coordinator and in a great team.

Hourly rate is $27-15

Cleaner

The Cleaning position is casual and during school hours. The days of work are mostly Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Occasionally there will be weekend work on a roster basic. You will be required to clean bunk rooms, bathrooms and other hall and recreation buildings. During the year we will have a full spring clean which may provide extra hours of work. You will be part of a cleaning team working under our Property Coordinator.

Hourly rate is $27-15

EXTRAS

  • All wages are plus super at Government rates
  • Meals are supplied at a minimum when camps are operating when you are working.
  • BCV is looking at an Employment assistance program (EAP) system to support staff
  • WWCC and Police checks are required for all employees
