Halls Gap Baptist Centre is situated in the middle of town. It’s a stone’s throw from the town’s services and a short walk or car ride to some of Victoria’s most amazing scenery. Put your feet in at Venus Baths, climb the highest point in Western Victoria and observe an abundance of native flora and fauna in natural surrounds. It’s all easily accessible from the campsite.

Our vision is to show God’s love in a caring environment. Our mission is to bring this to Baptist churches and all other churches, schools and community groups.

The camp accommodates 56 people and has all the necessary facilities to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable.

School groups love the easy access to the Grampians for exciting activities only limited by their imaginations.

Flexibility is the aim of the game at Halls Gap. Catered or self-catered options are available. Camp in the national park one night then return to the comfort of a bed the next. And don’t forget the vast array of program options which can be tailored to suit your needs. (See below.)

Our caretakers will settle you in whether you are a group or individuals using the flats.

Halls Gap Baptist Centre is a property of the Baptist Union of Victoria under the management of the Camp Committee.

  • Visit Brambuk Cultural Centre for some unique cultural activities
  • Visit the Parks Victoria Information Centre
  • Camp overnight in the Parks
  • Visit Lakes Bellfield, Wartook and Fyans
  • Visit Bunjil’s shelter and see the paintings thought to be 200 years old
  • Rock Climbing in the Grand Canyon
  • Visit Heatherlie, with permission, to see abandoned mines and buildings
  • Use the tourism providers of the town to run your own activities
  • Photograph the wild flowers in season – you will be amazed!

Responsibility Clause

  • Camp leaders are responsible at all times for the health, welfare and behaviour of their campers, even when a Baptist Camping Victoria staff member is running a program. Camp leaders are responsible for the first aid of your campers at all times and must supply their own first aid equipment, even when camp staff runs an activity.
  • Baptist Camping Victoria staff are happy to come to your school to discuss your particular requirements or run an information session prior to camp. This will help set program themes and reassure parents about where their children are going on camp and who will be looking after them.  We have DVDs that will assist with this process if required.
  • Baptist Camping Victoria staff are happy to assist you at any time and should be notified of all first aid assistance while at Camp.

Extra costs apply to outside providers – price available upon application.
If you use outside providers, it is your responsibility to ensure they are an accredited provider and all safety issues are assessed.

Our Location

The Centre is located in the heart of The Grampians National Park at Halls Gap. This is a wonderful part of western Victoria with many beautiful places to explore by foot or car.
