Located in Anglesea on the iconic Great Ocean Road, this 15 acre property is within an easy walk to magnificent beaches, the tranquil Anglesea River, peaceful bushwalks and shops. The camp is superbly set up to cater for the needs of any group in one of the best settings the Surfcoast has to offer.

Facilities

Accommodation

The Centre accommodates up to 188 people in 42 heated rooms with cluster ensuites. These rooms sleep between three to seven people with one unit specifically set up for wheel chair use. Most of our beds are bunks, with some rooms having double beds. Cots (3) and blankets are available on request.

For health and safety of the hire group, the number of campers sleeping per room must not exceed the number of beds. Campers are required to keep rooms in a clean condition during their stay. Notices of any kind should be placed on windows.

Dining Room

The dining room is separated from the Main Hall by bi-fold doors. We have seating available for 160+ with split systems installed. There is sound equipment installed to ensure everyone can hear all announcements at meal times.

Lounge Rooms

We have two large lounge areas. One lounge room is set off the side of the hall by bi fold doors; the other is situated at the end of Locket Lodge. Both areas are air-conditioned and have comfy chairs, TV, video and DVD players. We have a smaller lounge off Room 1.

Buses

Our Centre offers both a 49 seat bus and a 19 seat bus for use around the local area. Pricing is available upon request.

Camp Fire

This area can only be used with approval by the Centre Staff. Kindling, wood, paper and matches are all provided by us for your campfire night. Great for roasting marshmallows, making damper or simply relaxing by at night.  Campfire is not available for use on Total Fire Ban Days.

Recreation Room

The Recreation room is a large room that can be used as a games room, disco area or rehearsal space. It has table tennis tables, pool tables, air hockey tables and a foosball table. All equipment can be easily moved to repurpose the room to suit your needs. The room has heating and cooling, as well as a sound system installed to listen to music while you play.

Chapel

Our outdoor chapel comfortably seats 100+. It is set off to the side of the bottom lounge off Locket Lodge.

Programs

Camp Wilkin has a fantastic team to lead your programs. They are excited to offer a range of activities tailored to meet your needs.  These could be sessional or we can develop a full program in consultation with you.  All activities are designed to help your group take full advantage of the camp’s diverse facilities and the wonderful coastal environment.

The program staff are fully qualified to deliver the activities to people from all backgrounds and abilities.  We even cater for children in at risk programs. Our interns are a vital part of our programming team. They are trained to relate extremely well to all young people.

Responsibility Clause

  • Camp leaders are responsible at all times for the health, welfare and behaviour of their campers, even when a Baptist Camping Victoria staff member is running a program. Camp leaders are responsible for the first aid of your campers at all times and must supply their own first aid equipment, even when camp staff runs an activity.
  • Baptist Camping Victoria staff are happy to come to your school to discuss your particular requirements or run an information session prior to camp. This will help set program themes and reassure parents about where their children are going on camp and who will be looking after them.  We have DVDs that will assist with this process if required.
  • Baptist Camping Victoria staff are happy to assist you at any time and should be notified of all first aid assistance while at Camp.

Extra costs apply to outside providers – price available upon application.
If you use outside providers, it is your responsibility to ensure they are an accredited provider and all safety issues are assessed.

Our Location

Anglesea is located 112 km from Melbourne via Geelong on the Great Ocean Road. The Geelong Ring Road and freeway make it an easy trip down from Melbourne.

The Centre is just 1.2 km from the Anglesea shops and a similar distance from the main surf beach.  A safer beach for younger children is 3km away at Point Roadknight. We are only 800m to the beautiful heath lands of Anglesea and walks in the Otway National Park.
