To address the growing problem of disadvantage and lack of opportunity for children, we’ve established the ‘Futures Fund.’
This is a special fund that provides children from disadvantaged backgrounds with the opportunity to experience all the joys of camping – free of charge.
The Futures Fund also helps cover the costs of running our campsites across Victoria and helps contribute to the renewing of our Campsites with new activities and facilities.
But we can’t do it alone.

What Geoff Caldwell Has Learned From His Directorship At Baptist Camping Victoria
“I firmly believe that camping has the potential to change lives. It has certainly changed mine.”
Geoff Caldwell is the Director of Baptist Camping Victoria, and he’s overseen the growth of the organization from a small, local camping body to a statewide provider of camping experiences and outdoor education.
“When I started working at Baptist Camping Victoria, we had two sites – one at Halls Gap and one at Camp Wilkin. We now have campsites all over Victoria, and our programs have reached thousands of children and families.”
But for Geoff, the success of Baptist Camping Victoria isn’t measured in numbers.
“The thing that really matters to me is the difference that our camps make in the lives of the children and families who come to us.
We’ve seen firsthand how camping can provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore, grow, and learn.
We’ve seen how it can allow families to spend time together in nature, and how it can help people to connect with God.”
Geoff is passionate about the work of Baptist Camping Victoria, and he believes that camping is a powerful tool for change and that Jesus’ love shared will encourage that change. God can make a difference in people’s lives.
“I think that camping has the potential to change lives because it provides an opportunity for people to step outside of their everyday lives and experience something different.

Here’s How A Camp Has Turned Our Lives Around
Thank you isn’t enough!
We booked this Mother Daughter camp as friends had recommended it, but we really didn’t know what to expect. At the end of Term 2, I was run down and longing for renewal, worship and a change in pace. Anna was seeking company and a change from the four walls of home. From the moment we walked in, both Anna and I felt the love. The teamwork is obvious at Camp Burnside. You are an incredible Body of Christ reaching out to those who come to stay. Camp Burnside is run like a finely tuned machine. Anna and myself really valued the sense of community. The staff, planned activities, devotions, and meals were amazing. We enjoyed making connections and sharing our faith with others. On the way home, I asked Anna to describe in 4 words her camp experience. She said ” Fun, Friendship, Faith and Love”. We would absolutely love to return in 2023. Thank you so much.
